Overview

In 1997, the University of Sharjah was founded with the objective of enhancing the attributes that are commonly associated with globally recognized universities. The university provides comprehensive and diverse educational and research opportunities across various disciplines.

The city is situated in the Emirate of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, which has been designated as UNESCO's Cultural Capital for Arab and Islamic cultures. It is conveniently located just five minutes away from Sharjah International Airport, 15 minutes away from Dubai Airport, and a two-hour drive from Abu Dhabi, the UAE's capital.

The University of Sharjah (UoS) offers courses and programs that lead to higher education degrees that are officially recognized, including pre-bachelor degrees (such as certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, and master degrees in a variety of fields of study.

Around 1,500 scholarships have been approved at the University of Sharjah. Students with an average below 2 are eligible. It included 2,233 female and male students across all majors at University of Sharjah.

The University of Sharjah has a functional university building that adapts to the evolving educational delivery programs and offers a physical environment that is welcoming, secure, safe, accessible, well-lit, well-ventilated, and aesthetically beautiful. Additionally, it has nine libraries, including two large academic libraries, a specialized medical library, and another library with a focus on the college of fine arts. Within a short walk, everything from food and exercise to healthcare is offered at affordable rates and practical hours. It also provide facilities for all sports, including football, tennis, and swimming, in our two sports complexes.

Accomodation

The university offers housing in a welcoming environment that is safe and supportive of academic success. The University offers various types of accommodations, which comprise single rooms, double rooms, and triple rooms.

The dormitory is divided into three sections: the student housing on the men's campus, the student housing on the women's campus, and the student housing on the medical campus.
