Overview

UAEU was established in 1976 under the leadership of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan with the aim of becoming a research-focused and inclusive university. At present, it has around 14,000 students hailing from both Emirati and international backgrounds.

UAEU, which is the main university of UAE, provides a comprehensive selection of accredited graduate and undergraduate courses through nine different colleges. These colleges include Business and Economics, Education, Engineering, Food and Agriculture, Humanities and Social Sciences, IT, Law, Medicine and Health Sciences, and Science. UAEU has an exceptional international teaching staff, a modern campus, and a complete range of student services, making it a unique educational experience in the UAE.

The prestigious university has opened applications for two academic semesters annually. To be eligible for admission as an Indian student in the United Arab Emirates University, a minimum aggregate of 75% in CBSE 12th standard board exams is required. Meanwhile, international students must provide proof of English proficiency by submitting a course certificate such as IELTS or TOEFL. All necessary requirements must be met for admission.

Scholarships

International undergraduate students can avail full or partial tuition scholarships at United Arab Emirates University. The application process for these scholarships is online. The scholarships remain valid up to graduation provided the students meet the eligibility criteria. Exceptional academic performance is the criterion for being awarded full tuition scholarships. Such scholarships cover 100% of the tuition fees.

Students who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance in high school may qualify for a partial scholarship that covers 50% of their tuition fees.

Services & Facilities

The United Arab Emirates University is situated on the grounds of Al Ain in the UAE, which is the second largest city in Abu Dhabi. Al Ain is home to several popular tourist attractions including Al Ain Oasis, Jebel Hafeet, Al Jahili Fort, the Camel Market, and Al Ain Palace Museum. Students studying at the university can enjoy a lively city life with access to high-end hotels, restaurants, shopping malls, golf resorts, wildlife parks, and a football stadium. The campus has separate facilities for prayer and study, such as lounges, mosques, prayer rooms, meeting rooms, and lecture rooms. The university's PC labs are equipped with modern computers, wireless internet access, printers, and scanners.

Accomodation

One of the most fulfilling aspects of attending university is residing on campus and actively participating in the campus community. By living in properly maintained residence halls, students can interact with their peers, take part in leadership roles and campus groups, and enjoy several other benefits. The only students who are obligated to pay for housing fees are graduate and non-scholarship students.

Maqam Housing Halls and Taqam Housing offer rooms to students, with separate accommodations for male and female students. Students living on campus are provided with a range of facilities including laundry service, maintenance, cleaning, internet access, access to PC labs, and free shuttle bus service. Additionally, student residences have access to various recreation facilities on campus, such as sports and entertainment halls, TV lounges, modern gyms, artificial grasslands, cafes, libraries, and football, volleyball, tennis, and basketball courts. Each housing unit has a Housing Social Club that arranges social, cultural, sports, and other activities for students.
