Overview

Established in 2006, Canadian University Dubai is situated in the central part of Dubai. The University's educational programs are designed on the basis of Canadian curriculum and educational practices. This allows the students to receive a Canadian education while also acknowledging the customs and principles of the UAE. The University has a diverse student population consisting of more than 120 nationalities and offers more than 30 majors/concentrations and has 18 accredited programs.

The Canadian University of Dubai is a research-oriented institution that covers a wide range of academic fields. Its seven academic schools, namely Engineering & Applied Science & Technology, Environment, Architecture & Design, Health Sciences, Liberal Arts & Sciences, Business Administration, Communication and Media Studies, and Graduate Studies, have contributed significantly to the research community.

Scholarships

All students, regardless of their nationality, who meet the admission criteria, are eligible to apply for scholarships. The scholarships are granted to students enrolled in four or more academic courses per semester, provided they are studying full-time. However, students must maintain a certain cumulative grade point average (CGPA) to continue receiving the scholarship. The necessary CGPA requirement varies depending on the type of scholarship applied for. The scholarship for the fall semester starts on July 7th and the spring semester is on December 20th.\

Classrooms, labs, and studios are fully equipped with modern technology that allows students and faculty to incorporate digital and online materials into their learning experience. All common areas and classrooms have wireless network access, while overhead projectors and computer workstations are available in every classroom to enable professors to incorporate interactive content into their lectures.

Accomodation

Canadian University Dubai Student Accommodations provide a hygienic, secure, and reasonably priced accommodation alternative in Dubai. Irrespective of being a UAE national or an overseas student, sharing living quarters with fellow university students can facilitate students' assimilation into campus life and offer a diverse multicultural milieu that promotes academic achievement, personal development, and social growth.

Accommodations are managed by resident Officers and are open to undergraduates, postgraduates, and English language learners, with separate sections for male and female occupants. Private and family amenities are not offered.
