Overview

Ajman University (AU) was founded in 1988 as the initial private university in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). It was also the first university in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to enroll foreign students, and it remains a trailblazer in promoting diversity, creativity, and societal change. The Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), which is a world-renowned authority on higher education quality assurance based in the United Kingdom, granted global accreditation to Ajman University in 2020, making it one of only six universities in the world to receive such recognition.
