Established in the year 1942, Carleton University is located to the South of Ottawa’s city center and is strategically placed for students, giving them easy access to shopping centres, malls, trains, restaurants, etc. The University today has more than 25,000 students enrolled in their undergraduate courses and more than 4,000 students enrolled in their postgraduate courses, out of which more than 20% of students are international students from various countries abroad.

Known for its approach in innovative research and exceptional way of teaching, the faculty at the Carleton University has been continuously striving in the field of research, enhanced teaching and developing new programs while improving the existing ones.

Admissions Requirements

The following requirements must be fulfilled to get admitted to Carleton University

International students are considered on a case-by-case basis. There can be some additional requirements, depending on the program you are applying to.
Students are required to submit their original transcripts from their last attended academic institutions. If they are not in English, then submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
Should provide the certificate issued by the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) that compares educational credentials from other countries to educational standards in Canada.
Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the beginning of the course.
You need to submit your English language proficiency test scores if you are coming from a non-English speaking country.

Please Note:If you are not a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, you must obtain a valid study permit before you come to Canada.

Carleton University has been my university for the past two and a half years and I love it here. Our faculty is excellent and they work closely with students to make sure they are successful. The campus is big enough to provide all the resources you need but small enough to avoid feeling lost. I now have a great network of friends with whom I can share the experience of attending the university. Carleton is also well-known for its industry-oriented curriculum. The focus is on employability. So if you are looking to get a degree that can take you into the workforce after graduation, then Carleton is a great choice.
